Green Cleaner (“the App”) is a device-storage review utility for Android. This policy explains what information the App accesses on your device and how it is handled.

1. Core promise

The App is designed to run without the Android INTERNET permission. It does not include an account system, advertising SDK, analytics SDK, crash-reporting upload service, or cloud AI / media upload endpoint. Media and contacts are not transmitted off your device by the App.

2. Information accessed on your device

Only after you grant the relevant Android permission (or pick files explicitly), the App may access:

• Photos and videos authorized for Smart Scan and cleanup review
• Accessible Downloads entries exposed by MediaStore
• Contacts for duplicate detection and merge (read/write), with a local VCF backup before merge
• Files you choose to import into Private Space
• On-device storage and battery figures for the dashboard and widget

3. On-device processing and storage

Analysis (fingerprints, similarity, blur/quality scores) runs locally. Fingerprints, cleanup history, settings, and Private Space metadata stay in the App’s sandbox. The App does not store full media binaries inside its analysis database.

Private Space encrypts imported items using the Android Keystore when available. Private Space content and keys are excluded from ordinary device backup. Uninstalling the App permanently removes sandbox data, including encrypted Private Space items.

4. Actions that change your content

• A scan never modifies originals.
• Cleanup requires your confirmation and, on supported Android versions, the system trash / delete consent UI.
• Video compression writes and verifies a new file; the original remains until you decide otherwise.
• Contact merge creates a private VCF backup first.
• Vault import finalizes an encrypted copy before requesting removal of the source when applicable.

5. Permissions

Media, contacts, and biometric permissions are requested only for the features described above. The App may request all-files access for thorough on-device scanning. It does not request overlay/draw-over-other-apps, accessibility control, usage access to inspect other apps, or advertising identifiers.

6. Children

The App is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region).

7. Changes

If this policy changes in a material way—especially if network features are ever added—the effective date will be updated and in-app notices should be revised accordingly.
